Austria Tour with LGT Young Soloists
Carlo just came back from a tour with LGT Young Soloists with concerts at Graz Congress and Vienna Musikverein.
On the program were pieces by Bottesini, Bruch, Sarasate, Tschaikowski and Deutscher.
Carlo Lay and Victoria Sarasvathi play Dmitri Shostakovich: Sonata for Cello and Piano in D Minor, Op. 40 2nd movement.

Carlo in Denmark
Carlo spent a few days at the Scandinavian Cello School with British cellist Jacob Shaw to receive a masterclass at the beautiful coast at the southeast of Denmark, located just 500m from the sea.

Masterclass with Alexander Rudin
As a cellist, Alexander Rudin is one of the leading figures of the Russian school of musical interpretation.
He gave a masterclass in Hannover in January 2019.
Successful CD Production

CD Production with LGT Young Soloists
Carlo is delighted to record his second CD with LGT Young Soloists. The recording will take place in Munich, Germany starting on the 1st of January 2019.
He will record Vibrez by Giovanni Sollima with Polish cellist Oliwia Meiser.
Carlo back in Singapore
Second succesfull concert done with Singaporean pianist Nigel Lim. On the program were pieces by Brahms, Fauré, Saint Saens and Piazzolla.
The day before he was delighted to share the stage with pianist Hui Ling Khoo and soprano Lilith Verhelst. The performance included trio pieces by Massenet, Saint Saens, Fauré, Debussy and Du Parc.
Wokshop at the German European School Singapore
Back in 2017 Carlo had the honor to play for the children aged 3-6 of the German European School Singapore which he visited in the years 2002-2006.
This year he was invited again for a small concert with movements of Bachs Cello Suite No. 4 followed by a teaching session afterwards.
Carlo in Asia
Carlo will be back at his birthplace Singapore with three concerts as a soloist and chamber musician at Victoria Hall with LGT Young Soloists and twice at Steinway Gallery.
Musik in den Häusern der Stadt
Carlo Lay and Bernd Puschmann were invited for the festival "Musik in den Häusern der Stadt" at two special locations in Cologne and Bonn. Both concerts were already sold out after two days. Pieces by Bach, Brahms, Fauré, Dvorak, Shostakovich and Piazzolla were part of the program.

In November 2018 Carlo passed the audition for the scholarship program of Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Hannover e.V.
Carlo at Lufthansa
Cellist Carlo Lay and Pianist Bernd Puschmann had the honor to perfom a second time in Lufthansa’s venue in Frankfurt, Germany. On the program were pieces by Brahms, Dvorak, Shostakovich and Piazzolla.
Carlo at Bonnensis
As the first winner of the Beethoven Bonnensis Competition 2017, Carlo was invited to this year's "Bürger für Beethoven" event. Pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach and Gaspar Cassado were part of the program.
Since October 2018 Carlo is involved in the MUTE (Music and Participation) project of the Beethoven Academy and performed in encounter concerts in hospitals in Bonn. On the program were pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach and Gaspar Cassado.

Debut with Dvorak’s Cello Concerto
As part of the “Frühlingsspitzen 2018” Carlo was delighted to perfom Dvorak’s Cello Concerto with the “Neue Philharmonie Westfalen” under the direction of Prof. Alexander Rumpf.
As part of the “PhilharmonieLunch” Carlo had the honor to perform in Cologne’s Philharmonie.
